Area 6000/A - In the northwest burial, we continued to remove the skeleton, and finished removing it in its entirety by the end of the day. Following the removal, we scraped the bottom of the grave, in order to properly identify the grave's cut. In the southwest burial, as has been done for the last few weeks, we continued to carefully expose the bones, as they are fragile and of a poor state of preservation. In the southeast burial, the removal of the scattered bones on the south end, was completed. We then continued to remove the scattered bones of the opposite side of the grave. In the northeast burial, we continued to level the bottom of the grave, and uncovered what may potentially be a thorax.
Area 6000/B – Today, we continued to expose the scattered bones in the lithic tomb, as well as the skeletons in 6242 and 6251. The skeleton 6251 was completely removed from the cut and the we also exposed the bottom of the cut. Two long bones were found in the fill. Another long bone was found in a different fill. Two cuts and two fills were identified in the process. In 6242, the skeleton was completely exposed and photographs were taken. Points with the total station were also taken. Tomorrow we plan on removing the skeleton in 6242, continuing to expose the cuts and fills for 6251, and exposing the bones in the lithic tomb.
