Area 6000

Settore Nord

Nel Settore Nord si procede con la rimozione del riempimento US 6511 a matrice argillo-limosa, caratterizzato da numerose pietre di piccole dimensioni ed ossa sparse. Più ad est è stata completata la messa in luce degli individui adulti USK 6546 e USK 6549, entrambi orientati W-E e deposti supini in fosse semplici. In particolare di USK 6549 rimane solamente il lato destro del corpo, mentre quello sinistro è stato asportato durante la costruzione della tomba a cassa litica USM 6123. Il cranio dell'inumato è stato invece intercettato dal taglio US - 6508. L'arto superiore è disteso lungo il corpo, così come quello inferiore, con la tibia leggermente ruotata lateralmente. Dopo la documentazione della sepoltura in questione si è iniziata la rimozione dei resti scheletrici.

6000N

Continued exposing US6546 cranium, mandible, and maxilla. Continued exposing the arms and the pelvis. 

Continued exposing the possible skeleton and scatter bones on the northwest side of the section.

6000S

The skull of 6276 was further exposed along with the right shoulder area including the scapula, clavicle, and ribs. This is is difficult to do because it is extremely hot and the water keeps evaporating from the surrounding soil.

Area 7000

The group trowled the entire area and then the instructors wet the area and took pictures of the more outstanding features( features being the north and south trench and the furnaces) Then the group exposed the trench thoroughly and cleaned to show soil differences.
